The GEO Group was awarded the contract on July 25, 2007 by LEDD and, under an Intergovernmental Service Agreement, with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
Program services include religious and recreational programs.
The center has support areas consisting of medical, kitchen, dining room, laundry and warehouse buildings. An on-site administrative building serves the needs of ICE and the Executive Office of Immigration Review (EOIR). The center’s clinic area is designed according to the requirements and specifications of the U.S. Public Health Service.
The center achieved initial accreditation through the American Correctional Association in 2009 and reaccreditation in 2012, 2015, and 2018 with a score of 99.60%.
