Working in partnership with the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), GEO was successfully able to modify existing agreements and the physical plant to create the Folkston ICE Processing Center at the existing D. Ray James site.
Individuals have access to legal services, visitation, and ample opportunity to participate in indoor and outdoor recreation. GEO manages food services, transportation, and health services at the Facility.
GEO upgraded the front lobby, expanded visitation areas, and provided additional parking and office space for ICE staff at the center.
The center will pursue accreditation from the American Correctional Association.
