Lawton Correctional and Rehabilitation Facility provides security, programs, food service, and transportation. The facility has a fully equipped medical department, a recreation area, and offers various religious services including an Indian Sweat Lodge.
The facility consists of double-celled, medium security housing units including two double-celled segregation units. The entire facility has been designed to be American Correctional Association (ACA)-compliant. The facility is designed for cost-effective utilization of security staff and thereby allows enhanced programmatic activities without significant cost implications. The medical unit is designed consistent with the needs of the detainee population. A fully equipped kitchen provides meals for detainees and staff. Four gymnasiums and nine outdoor recreation yards are also provided.
