A graduation ceremony was held Friday afternoon for people on probation who completed a reentry program.

42 people participated in the ceremony at the Cambria County Reentry Service Center, which follows months of classes, along with intensive treatment and training, as well as ongoing testing for drug and alcohol use.

The program is designed to help prepare participants for reentry into their communities.

Christopher Maul, Day Reporting Center Director, said, "We're in the business of helping people. We want to change lives and make our communities safer and a better place. It's great to see that, when they come back; some of them have been graduated for several months, and they come back and they're still doing great. It just makes us feel great about what we do."

Also, during the ceremony, Cambria County was presented with the National Day Reporting Center of the Year award.
