In a heartwarming effort to give back to those who served, Mesa Verde ICE Processing Center (MVPC)
is honored to announce its partnership with Honor Flight Kern County to host a special breakfast for local veterans, along with a monetary donation to support their upcoming flights.
Understanding the tremendous sacrifices made by our veterans, MVPC is committed to providing more than just a meal; we aim to create a space for camaraderie, respect, and tangible support. This event, which includes a breakfast, brings together veterans from various eras to share stories and connect with their community.
Our veterans have given so much for our freedom, and supporting Honor Flight Kern County is our way of ensuring these heroes have the opportunity to visit the memorials built in their honor in Washington, D.C.
Honor Flight Kern County is an all-volunteer organization that transports veterans primarily from World War II, the Korean War, and Vietnam to Washington, D.C., at no cost to the veterans. This includes airfare, ground transportation, and meals.
Mesa Verde was proud to present a donation of $750 from The GEO Group Foundation to help fund these crucial trips, ensuring that more veterans can experience this once-in-a-lifetime journey.
